Voordeeluitjes.nl is our flagship product for providing cheap package deals is curated daily in integration with 2000+ hotels across Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, and neighboring countries. The website is awarded as “Most popular website in the category of Hotels & Accommodations” for 2016, 2017, 2019, 2020 & 2021. We are looking for passionate and talented Backend Senior Software Engineer to help expand the product offerings to our customers. We are focusing on expanding our presence in Europe and would like to bring disruptive changes in Hospitality & tourism industry by providing package deals that are suitable and affordable for our customers.

Who Are We?

We are Freetime India Development Center, a product-based company established in 2011, in partnership with Freetime Company B.V. The Netherlands.

We are pioneers in providing hospitality products used across the globe. Our solutions are targeted for small, mid-range hotel chains to bigger hotel chains. The product categories range from complete in-house solutions, integration of multiple channel managers for pricing and reservations combined with vacation planner website offering deals to attract guests.

We made a successful offering of our solutions to more than 3000 hotels including renowned hotel chains. Our product catalogues and solutions include Standalone and Cloud based Property Management Systems (PMS), which manages all guest portfolio activities at hotels, Reservation system, Channel Manager integrations with Global Delivery Systems, and Point of Sale (POS) systems that are used in hotels across the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium and the UK.

We are expanding our teams in India for rapid growth for a more exciting journey and innovation in the Hospitality domain for upcoming years. We have a growth plan of going beyond 100+ people with diversified teams in the next 2-3 years.

What Will You Do?

As a member of the team, you will be responsible for leading the development and launch of a variety of core product features. You will influence our overall strategy by helping define these product features, design the system architecture, and promote the best practices that enable a secure, accessible, and quality product.

In this role you will work closely with stakeholders, other software engineers and product teams to deliver mission-critical, and complex products and features. In each case, you will collaborate with technology teams to deliver the best product with the most efficient use of resources and technologies. You will design, implement, and develop user interfaces for new innovations. You will lead the estimation process, assess risks, and effectively mentor other junior team members to improve their skills and raise the bar on software development best practices in UI domain. You will own the implementation strategy to radically change our product offering in ways that is the least disruptive to our customers yet delivers significantly value iteratively. You will gain an understanding of how we operate around several different product areas and help influence the direction of these products.

Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Will be part of on-going project modules planned in Microservices framework
  • Should be able to demonstrate proven skills on design and strategic development.
  • Solve complex development problems and produce the highest quality code while striv-ing to push technical boundaries
  • Work closely with both external clients and internal, cross-functional product and technical teams to support multiple projects
  • Maintain technical design documentation, communicating architectural and design changes to development teams
  • Conduct regular design and code reviews, establishing and publishing quality and per-formance metrics
  • Manage and foster a team-oriented environment, providing technical oversight to team members

What Do We Get From You?

The ideal candidate is passionate about customer experience, takes pride in building high quality software, and has a demonstrable track record of successfully delivering new features and products. They value collaboration, making data-driven decisions, and can comfortably communicate with others, in both technical and non-technical roles.

Required qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 7+ Years of experience working with Microsoft Programming Technologies.
  • Must have experience in building & good understanding of enterprise ready application
Nice to have:
  • 9+ years of technical & programming experience in building .NET based applications
  • Strong analytical and programming skills.
  • Should be familiar with writing performative APIs using ASP.NET WEBAPI using .NET core
  • Should have knowledge on web based and cloud architecture-based solutions design and development.
  • Skills on following technologies are added advantage
    • Building Microservices using DAPR framework
    • ELK (Elastic, Logstash, Kibana)
    • NoSQL databases (like Radis, Mongo, Elastic, RabbitMQ) - at least one is manda-tory
    • Docker
    • CI/CD pipelines using Azure
  • Good exposure on micro service implementation and design principles
  • Able to demonstrate skills to improve performance of APIs
  • Proven knowledge on applying design patterns.
  • Proficient in using and applying unit test frameworks
  • Experience working on an engineering team using Agile processes & scrum methodolo-gies
  • Good understanding of Enterprise application design & development
  • Experience with distributed computing and enterprise-wide systems.
  • Possess taking a leading role in building complex software systems that have been suc-cessfully delivered to customers.
  • Experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and current systems
  • Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source con-trol management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Experience in working with source code repositories (Git, SVN).
